Personal Accident Insurance is also commonly known as Personal Injury or Sports Injury insurance. It reimburses you for costs associated with accidental injuries that occur during specific lacrosse-related activities.
Personal Accident Insurance covers you for participation in a range of lacrosse activities include. These include:
Engaging in administrative, fundraising or volunteer activities.
While there are many elements to Personal Accident Insurance, there are three key areas to be aware of:
Medical benefits
Provides 85% reimbursement for non-Medicare medical costs you incur as a result of an injury. Maximum of $2,000 per claim.
Capital benefits
Provides a lump-sum payment of up to $100,000, if a permanent injury or death occurs while participating in an insured event. This is limited to 20% for claimants under 18 years.
Loss of income benefits
Provides a reimbursement of your weekly income up $350 per week. For a maximum 52 weeks.
