We have a long history of supporting Aussie motor sport here at Gallagher. We're extremely proud of our partnership with Motorsport Australia and of the work we've done together to help create safer motor sports environments for all Motorsport Australia members.

As motor sports insurance specialists, our team has both the skills and experience to identify and address risks that are uniquely associated with motor sports. The Motorsport Australia National Insurance Program has therefore been specifically tailored to help improve the physical, legal and financial safety of all Motorsport Australia members.

What does a Motorsport Australia insurance program cover?

Our motor sports experts here at Gallagher have worked with Motorsport Australia to create a tailored National Insurance Program that incorporates Personal Accident Cover, Public Liability Cover and Professional Indemnity Cover.

Personal Accident Cover

Personal Accident insurance can provide financial assistance to insured individuals (such as Motorsport Australia license holders, crew, officials and volunteers) who are injured during a Motorsport Australia-approved activity. This excludes any medical costs that are covered (or partly covered) by Medicare. More information on Medicare coverage can be found on our Claims page.

Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Cover

Public Liability Insurance can provide protection for Motorsport Australia and its insured representatives against legal and associated costs following an accusation of negligence.

Professional Indemnity insurance provides protection for insured Motorsport Australia representatives against legal and associated costs that may occur if they are accused of negligent acts, errors or omissions.

When does cover apply?

Motorsport Permits

Most activities with a Motorsport Australia Permit are generally covered by the Motorsport Australia National Insurance Program. This includes official races, official practice sessions and social permit events

Sporting Car Club activities

Most activities conducted by Motorsport Australia affiliated sporting car clubs are generally covered by the Motorsport Australia National Insurance Program. This includes committee meetings, social events, fundraising and working bees.

Enthusiast Car Club activities

Most activities conducted by Motorsport Australia affiliated enthusiast car clubs are general covered by the Motorsport Australia National Insurance Program. This includes social events static displays, fundraising and committee meetings.

How do I make a Personal Accident claim?

Steps
1	Obtain a claims form from Gallagher by calling 1800 931 129 or download it below. Download claims form
2	Arrange for your doctor to complete the Medical Statement.
3	Arrange for your club's President, Secretary, or Treasurer to complete the Club's Declaration.
4	If claiming loss of income, have your employer complete the Member's Employment Details section of the form.
5	Return the completed claim from to Gallagher within 30 days of the injury occurring via email or post. Email: sport@ajg.com.au Post: Gallagher, PO Box 1898, North Sydney, NSW, 2060

How do I make a liability claim?

*If an incident has just occurred, please view and follow the instructions found in the Motorsport Australia Critical Incident Response Procedures, see the 'Event Forms' page on the Motorsport Australia website, motorsport.org.au/events.

Steps
1	Do not admit any fault, wrongdoing or liability nor promise that the Motorsport Australia Insurance policy will or will not compensate them for any aspect of their loss.
2	Contact Gallagher by calling 1800 931 129 as soon as you receive a letter of demand (letter or e-mail) or writ, forwarding a copy of the correspondence to sport@ajg.com.au.
3	Obtain a copy of all incident reports relating to the incident.
4	Await instructions from Gallagher and Motorsport Australia within 48 hours. If any further correspondence is received during this time, forward it to sport@ajg.com.au.
